THE Hong Kong Hockey Association last night ordered a replay of the Holland Cup semi-final between Pakistan Association A and Khalsa A after Khalsa complained their opponents fielded an 'extra' man during the game which Pakistan Association won 2-0.
Khalsa claimed Pakistan Association fielded a 12th player for a period of up to eight minutes during the second half of the match at King's Park.
They claimed that the extra player should not have been on the pitch at any time and that the game should have been awarded to them.
The extra man was spotted by an eagle-eyed spectator, who pointed out the mistake to the umpire, who in turn handed Pakistan Association captain, goalkeeper Amjad Khan, a green card.
The HKHA committee has now ordered a replay on April 16 at 2.30 pm at King's Park.
The committee believes the 'extra' man was an 'unintentional' technical breach of the laws by Pakistan Association A.
