INSTANT-DICT players are in line for a huge windfall if they win Sunday's Viceroy Cup final against Sing Tao at the Hong Kong Stadium.
The club's bosses promised an additional $300,000 sweetener yesterday as incentive to the $230,000 first prize money already on offer by the sponsors.
Having lost four previous finals, Instant-Dict are in no mood for another Cup defeat as they desperately seek their first major success despite being in their fourth season at senior level.
'We have the big match experience, four Cup finals in fact, and we must have a good chance of winning,' Instant-Dict president Thomas Tam Wai-tong said. 'But we are not falling into the same trap as in previous finals.
'We were too confident then and that led to our downfall,' he added.
Tam said his players will stand to make at least $530,000 - or roughly $26,000 per player - if they end the drought.
