HONG KONG are hoping to have three players in the main draw of this year's Wimbledon junior competition. Jacklyn Fu is aiming to join near certainties Willy Chan Lee and John Hui in the July tournament, which runs during the second week of the senior All-England Championships. Fu, 16, is ranked 120 in the world junior rankings and her coach Mark Bailey is hoping she can rise to around 80 before Wimbledon. Said Bailey: 'Willy and John should be able to get into the main draw just from their rankings. 'We are now hoping Jacky can join them.' The 17-year-old Hui, who was this year blooded into the Hong Kong Davis Cup squad, has a junior ranking of 38, while Chan, the territory's number one woman, is in the top 40. Bailey, Hong Kong's Davis Cup and Federation Cup captain, said the players will play in a junior tournament in Surbiton, England, before going on to Wimbledon. Meanwhile, Sven Koehler is likely to be available for Hong Kong's crucial Asia-Oceania Zone Davis Cup Group One home clash with Taiwan in September. Koehler missed the territory's 5-0 loss to Japan earlier this month. Bailey will need all the firepower available for the Taiwan match, the loser of which will be relegated to Group Two next season. Koehler and Thorsten Poelzl, who is so far the only Hong Kong player to win a rubber in this campaign, are likely to be the territory's two singles players against Taiwan.
