TWO elderly women passengers were injured yesterday in a collision between a ferry and a tugboat, with one admitted to hospital. The Hong Kong and Yau Ma Tei Ferry Company's Man Ngai ferry - carrying six crewmen and 33 passengers from Kwun Tong to North Point - and the tugboat collided about 8.40 am off Taikoo Shing. The women, aged 55 and 78, were thrown from their seats and suffered face and leg injuries. They were admitted to Pamela Youde Nethersole Eastern Hospital. The older woman was in a fair condition last night while the other was treated and discharged. The ferry, which suffered minor damage to its bow, was checked by Marine Department officials at Hunghom Pier and released.
