The poll, conducted by the Home Affairs Branch, found that 62 per cent of the respondents were confident that the territory would continue to be prosperous and stable. This represents a rise of five percentage points compared to a similar survey two months ago. An equal number of people expected the situation to improve or remain about the same in the next 12 months, compared with 56 per cent in January. In the poll conducted between March 13 and 17, a total of 1,517 people aged between 15 and 64 were interviewed after random sampling. The survey also found a slight increase in people's support for the Government from 40 per cent in January to 43 per cent. Housing topped the livelihood problems.
