Silent on Ipil

I CANNOT believe the deafening silence from Filipino politicians over the brutal massacre of scores of innocent women and children in Ipil. Contrast this with the mass outpourings countrywide over the hanging of one maid in Singapore.

I am not saying that a single life lost is less important and doesn't deserve our grief, but surely there should be greater expressions of disgust on the part of the country and its politicians to the killings in Ipil.

Is it that the Ipil massacre isn't enough of a hot political issue to capitalise on while the Contemplacion case is? For the sake long-suffering Filipino voters, let us hope this isn't the case.
