COMMENTS by Reverend Fung Chi-wood last week about the difficulty Democratic Party members might have in finding jobs after they left the legislature took on a new meaning after his decision on Monday to quit politics. He said he was concerned that some employers might believe Democrats were too radical. Mr Fung's comments followed concern from outgoing Democratic Party legislator Tik Chi-yuen that service on the Legislative Council might hinder his search for employment. A full-time legislator, Mr Tik announced in February his intention to step down to spend more time with his family. Mr Tik said he had not started sending out his resume, but his search for a job in social work would probably start in July. He believed he would be able to find a job despite concerns among other legislators about political differences with employers.
