TO ENHANCE public awareness of the social groups in need of care and concern, multi-media production Circle of Colours will be staged at the Academy for Performing Arts on April 28 and 29. It is the second production of DanceArt, formed in 1993. As a young dance company, DanceArt encourages collaborations with artists in different art forms and is dedicated to promoting world peace and environmental protection by organising performances and workshops specially designed for different social groups. Circle of Colours blends the talents of over 25 local and overseas artists, bringing together choreographers, dancers, composers, vocalists, photographers and international child performers and disabled children. It is aimed at enhancing concern for minorities (disabled children, aged, homeless people, aids patients and deaf-mute) who have been discriminated against or have been ignored. Sponsored by the Hong Kong Arts Development Council, Circle of Colours will be staged at the APA's Drama Theatre at 8 pm. Tickets at $80 and $60 (students and senior citizens) are available at Urbtix outlets. Call Allen Lam on 1109-388 a/c 834 for enquiries and 2734-9009 for ticket reservations.
