Degree with study blocks in Brisbane
QUEENSLAND University in Australia has set up a distance learning initiative for Hong Kong students in the field of education.
The Master of Education degree involves two five-week blocks of study in Brisbane at the beginning and end of the programme. The research component will be supervised through a university in Hong Kong.
Queensland University also plans to set up a Bachelor of Education upgrading programme through its distance learning scheme.
The new chancellor of the university, Dr Cherrell Hirst - who visited the territory to present degrees to 94 Hong Kong students who completed their degrees through Queensland University last year - said: 'We aim for a fine balance of theory and practical skills which leads to professional success.'
