THE PWC has invited top officials and business figures to an international financial conference in Hong Kong on May 18. Guest speakers include Hong Kong Monetary Authority chief executive Joseph Yam Chi-kong, Stock Exchange chairman Edgar Cheng Wai-kin, and Hongkong Bank chairman John Gray. Two deputy governors of the People's Bank of China, Wang Qiren and Chen Yuan, are scheduled to attend but Governor Chris Patten and Chief Secretary Anson Chan Fang On-sang have not been invited.
