Pregnant woman dies in sex attack

A SIX-MONTH pregnant woman died early yesterday after being attacked at the Happy Valley furniture shop where she worked. The woman, 30, was found locked in a first-floor storeroom on Thursday night. She had been indecently assaulted. She died of head injuries in Queen Mary Hospital. There were bruises on her neck and arms.

Police said there was no sign of ransacking and nothing appeared to have been stolen. However, signs of a struggle were detected inside the storeroom.

Police said the victim had talked to a man inside the Wong Nei Chung Road shop between 6.15 pm and 6.45 pm. A post mortem examination will be conducted today.
