PRICES for second-hand flats in Tuen Mun surged nearly 10 per cent last month, according to property consultants Brooke Hillier Parker. But they continued to slip at Fanling, Sheung Shui and Tai Po, while prices at Yuen Long edged up by less than one per cent. After a 10-month price slide, flats in most of the New Territories districts surveyed are now worth less than they were a year ago. Only Tuen Mun bucked the trend, rising 3.8 per cent in the last 12 months. In contrast, prices at Kingswood Villas in Yuen Long have plummeted 20 per cent since April last year. Fanling and Sheung Shui prices have fallen by nearly 12 per cent, while Tai Po registered a nine per cent fall.
