Sir Horace Kadoorie dies at 92

SIR Horace Kadoorie, a gracious philanthropist and member of one of the territory's most powerful dynasties, died on Saturday, aged 92. He was confined in his twilight years to a wheelchair.

Educated in England and Shanghai, he was instrumental in establishing Kadoorie Farm and the Kadoorie Agricultural Aid Association, which helped more than 300,000 refugees from China.
