THIRTY students took time off last weekend to take part in the Electronics Contest, the second of four Lotus Hong Kong Joint School Computer Olympics 1994-95 competitions.
The Olympics are sponsored by the Hong Kong office of software developer Lotus Development and organised by the student-run Hong Kong Joint School Electronics and Computer Society (HKJSECS).
It is the first of this year. The theme this year is 'Breakthrough - Creating the Summit of Civilisation'.
Winning entries will be demonstrated or displayed in the HKJSECS-organised 11th Joint School Electronics and Computer Exhibition, to be held at the Hong Kong Science Museum from August 11 to 14.
There are 54 secondary schools in HKJSECS.
Alfred Tsoi, general manager of Lotus Development Software in Hong Kong, said the Olympics was part of Lotus' commitment to the students of Hong Kong.
