SOFTWARE Publishing Corp (SPC) has unveiled its latest product - Harvard Montage - that gives users of Harvard Graphics, Microsoft PowerPoint and Lotus Freelance Graphics a new way to catalogue and view their presentations and images. Harvard Montage will also help users quickly find clip art, photos, images, sound, animation and video clips for use in any Windows application. 'The release of Harvard Montage re-affirms our commitment to giving business graphics users new ways to take advantage of their existing applications,' SPC business development manager Lisa Forsyth said. 'Our research shows that graphics users are having to re-create their presentation, slides and images from scratch because they cannot find their existing files. With this product, we are helping users spend less time finding and re-creating files so they can spend more time where it really counts - adding impact to their work. Ms Forsyth said the product was well suited to the Hong Kong market, and added that SPC was looking at creating a Chinese version of the program. Harvard Montage will ship with a CD-ROM that includes more than 2,000 clip art images, 75 photographic backgrounds from PhotoDisc and 35 textured background from Artbeats Software. The program is priced in Hong Kong at $1,160. It will run on a 386 IBM compatible PC with four MB of RAM, 11 MB of hard disk space, a VGA card, DOS 3.1 or higher and Windows 3.1 and a compatible mouse. A CD-ROM is needed to use the clip art, presentation templates and backgrounds that come with the program.
