HONG KONG people interested in postgraduate studies do not have to look beyond their own backyard for top-notch universities and programmes.
'For students who want to do postgraduate work in Hong Kong, there is ample choice and ample opportunities,' said Professor Kenneth Young, dean of the Graduate School at the Chinese University of Hong Kong.
'If they go abroad it should be an informed choice, not simply because they misunderstood the situation and believed certain things were not available in Hong Kong.' Chinese University will have an exhibit at this week's three-day postgraduate fair.
In addition to the exhibit, Professor Young who will conduct a general seminar on postgraduate studies at 12.30 pm tomorrow.
Another professor will talk on Master of Business Administration (MBA) studies tomorrow at 5 pm.
While other exhibitors cite reasons for postgraduate students to study abroad, staff from Hong Kong's institutions will present the territory's case.
