A ROBBER used children as young as 12 as lookouts while he held up at least nine clinics, restaurants and video arcades across the territory in a two-week crime spree. Police said the 24-year-old triad rewarded his young accomplices with hamburgers or a trip to a games hall. The man, alleged to be a member of the Wo Shing Wo, was arrested in Sheung Shui last week. Shamshuipo Assistant District Commander, Superintendent Bob Youill, said they pinpointed the suspect's flat after a tip-off gained in an operation against juvenile crime. 'He was picked up on Thursday in the late afternoon when he returned to his hideout, which had been under observation for two days,' Mr Youill said. 'He was on a real crime spree. He just wanted money.' The detective said the suspect used two imitation pistols during the raids between April 11 and 26 in Sheung Shui, Yuen Long, Mongkok, Kwun Tong, Shamshuipo and Tuen Mun, taking up to $12,000 a time. The Legal Department has yet to decide if any of the youngsters will face charges.
