I AM sure many people in Hong Kong will share my sense of outrage at the full-page, self-promotional colour advertisement for the cigarettes '555'. (South China Morning Post, May 5).
The script reads: 'Today we celebrate 100 years of 555. Join in the celebration. Hong Kong joins the rest of the world today in celebrating the centenary of State Express 555. We now look forward to the next hundred years of success and smoothness above all else.' Have these tobacco companies no decency? Have they no respect for the dead? I shall spend the day not only quietly and respectfully mourning the millions who have died prematurely from cigarettes over the last hundred years, but also working out renewed strategies to reduce the death toll over the next hundred years.
