CAN anyone solve the mystery of the missing crane's egg from Victoria Park Aviary? On Sunday, April 30, the white naped cranes were busy caring for and protecting their egg from any harm that might come to it, as they have been doing for the past few weeks.

They have been a joy for everyone to watch.
However, the next morning, the cranes seemed agitated and their egg was missing from their nest.
Where had it gone? On the Wednesday we rang the Urban Council. According to council officials, the egg is still there. These beautiful birds deserve more care and protection.
