Tycoon Chao sues newspapers

TYCOON Cecil Chao Sze-tsung is suing three newspapers over reports his marriage to glamorous socialite Terri is in difficulties.

Articles last weekend were accompanied by pictures of Ms Chao, 27, leaving Kai Tak airport for the United States with the couple's young son, Roman.

Property magnate Mr Chao, 57, who filed three writs at the Supreme Court yesterday, has denied there are problems.

The multi-millionaire is furious over reports that appeared in the Eastern Express, Oriental Daily News and Oriental Sunday over the weekend.

Mr Chao is suing the papers' publishers and respective editors Michael Chugani, Ma Chung-pak and Poon Kit-ling.
