FOLLOWING an overwhelming reception from local audiences last year, the master of the harmonica, Robert Bonfiglio, will make a return visit to Hong Kong this month to stage one performance at the City Hall. Accompanied by flutist Clare Hoffman, violinist Wong Wai-ming and cellist Ray Wang, Bonfiglio will perform a range of fine tunes by classical and contemporary composers. Bonfiglio is a unique artist with evocative musical ability raising such a common instrument as the harmonica to uncommon heights. His ability to perform in a classical setting with symphonies, breathes life into pop music and his art of playing the blues has earned him high acclaim. The two local musicians taking part in the concert are Wong, one of the foremost violinists in Hong Kong, and Wang, one of the most acclaimed cellists. The concert will be held at the City Hall Concert Hall on May 19 at 8 pm. Tickets at $100, $70 and $40 are available at Urbtix outlets. Half-price tickets are available for students, senior citizens and disabled citizens. For reservations, call 2734 9009 and for programme enquiries, call 2734 2930.
