A JUDGE yesterday revoked the bail of a woman whose stomach ailment kept an entire courtroom waiting on two consecutive days.

  'You've already wasted a lot of the court's time, both yesterday and today,' Deputy Judge Daniell told the alleged robber, who arrived at the District Court an hour late yesterday and two hours late on Thursday.

  Kong Sui-ting, 24, apologised for her tardiness, claiming she had been struck down by stomach pain, and felt too ill to travel.

  The deputy judge revoked her bail and told her to see a government doctor.

  The case was postponed on Thursday because the woman said she was too ill to stand trial.

  Kong, a shop assistant, is accused of trying to mug a clinic employee with a $25 toy pistol.

  She pleaded not guilty to attempted robbery and possession of an imitation firearm.

  On November 5 last year, Tsang Yau-lin was walking down On Ting Street after visiting a friend in Kowloon.

  She was bound for the Jockey Club Health Centre, where she worked as an amah.

   Kong followed her, prosecutor Valentine Yim said.

  As Ms Tsang mounted the stairs, the court was told, Kong shouted: 'Don't move! Robbery! I have a gun!'   Ms Tsang told the court that her hand brushed the 'gun' when she surrendered her handbag.

  'When I touched the gun it felt that it was like a toy gun,' Ms Tsang said.

  'So I tried to snatch it from her.'   Ms Tsang said she grabbed Kong's 'gun' hand, and screamed.

  The court was told passerby Au Wing-fung heard her cry. He ran to the scene in time to see two women struggling for control of what appeared to be a gun.

  Finally, Kong relented and let go of the woman's handbag, the court heard.

  Two policemen arrived moments later.

  One of them saw Kong hurl something down the steps on to the playground below, Mr Yim said.

  The officer scoured the ground and discovered a toy gun.

  Ms Tsang said her attacker began wandering off across the street after the gun was retrieved.

  'I said to the police officer, 'Are you letting her go? She tried to rob me!',' Ms Tsang told the court.

  The officers then searched Kong's handbag and uncovered a paper box containing two rounds of red plastic caps.

  The trial continues.
