CITIC Technology and Hughes Asia-Pacific (Hong Kong) have announced they will join forces in Hughes' bid for the Master Systems Integration (MSI) contract for the Chek Lap Kok airport project. CITIC Technology is a subsidiary of the China International Trust and Investment Corp. Under the agreement, CITIC Technology will provide technical expertise and a number of CITIC employees to the team that Hughes Asia-Pacific will use on the project. The MSI contract required a combination of international experience in airport systems management and control, according to CITIC and Hughes. The MSI contract is undergoing a tender evaluation and the Provisional Airport Authority is expected to award the contract at the end of this month.
