A NIGHTCLUB hostess who falsely claimed she had been tied up and raped by two masked men after a client had refused to have a relationship, was yesterday given a suspended two-month sentence.
Chau Pui-king, 28, who worked at the Cesar karaoke nightclub, Tsim Sha Tsui, admitted wasting police time.
South Kowloon Court was told a total of 18 police officers had spent 70 hours looking into Chau's allegations.
The hostess said she had been tied up and raped by two masked men in a Yau Ma Tei hotel.
She claimed her attackers had recorded her ordeal on video.
Chau told police she had gone to the hotel with customer Chu Wai-lun in the early hours of January 3.
She said the two men came in after she heard Mr Chu telling somebody over the phone to come to the room.
