Smuggling rings broken

VIETNAMESE authorities have broken up two smuggling networks to Hong Kong, the Communist Party newspaper Nhan Dan said.

The report said nearly US$2 million (HK$15.45 million) of merchandise, mainly electronics and appliances, were seized from two freighters, the Ba To and the Ho Guom, last month near the central coast of Vietnam.
