BUILDING contractors have transformed the village of Luk Tei Tong into a disaster area.

Everywhere about my residence, apartment buildings are being hastily constructed.

Slabs of concrete are being laid in muddy marshland, and everywhere ugly, three-storey apartment buildings with little or no reinforcement are being thrown together haphazardly.
