Doubles specialist Ma Chi-kong and newcomer Ma Chi-wai walked off with the men's doubles title, and the team capped a highly successful tournament with another two silver and six bronze medals.

The Mas (not related) defeated Filipinos Naresh Ramnani and John Campos 15-9, 15-0 for the territory's only badminton title at the multi-sports Arafura Games.

Chi-kong got a silver in the singles event, going down to Brunei's Aknoor Ramuzi in the finals, while teammate Wong Kwok-wai won a bronze for making the last four.

Hong Kong collected two bronze medals in the mixed doubles event when both Chi-kong and Koon Wai-chee, and Chi-wai and Chan Mei-mei, bowed out in the semi-final round to their Philippine opponents.
