SOME people do not realise what a high price is often paid when they drive at high speeds on Hong Kong's roads, just for a few seconds of excitement.
Maybe they are frustrated with their lives and somehow driving their car at 100 km/h helps them to feel important, show of their driving skills to their friends. They may have personal problems, but this is a very childish way to cope with those problems.
Can they not realise that there are pedestrians and other drivers on these roads, people who are responsible citizens and whose lives are being put at risk by this foolish behaviour? I wish these people would put aside their personal frustrations and think about the well-being of others.
To these speeding drivers I would ask this, how would you feel if one of your loved ones was killed in a road traffic accident caused by someone who was driving too fast? Please try to be more considerate and stop speeding.
