A BOY kicked his school-mate into a coma after accusing him of molesting his girlfriend, the District Court heard yesterday. Wong Lam, 17, suffered from amnesia after the attack and has only recovered recently. But his doctor says his memory could deteriorate so badly that in the future he will no longer be able to remember what he did an hour ago. Sarid Sae Chua, 15, admitted kicking Wong Lam in the head causing him to fall into a coma during a squabble last November. He pleaded guilty to wounding, but denied a more serious charge of wounding with intent. The pleas were accepted by the Crown. Prosecutor Penelope Wacks told the court that the attack took place on November 18 last year as Lam was walking towards his Tuen Mun home. The fight broke out when Sarid approached him in the street and accused him of having molested his girlfriend. He then kicked Lam in the head sending him crashing to the ground with blood pouring from his nose and mouth. Outside court, Lam said he could not remember anything that happened during the attack. But his doctor has told him his memory could deteriorate badly in a few years and he might not be able to remember events which took place barely an hour ago. Deputy Judge Andree Wiltens is due to pass sentence on the defendant on June 5.
