A FISHERMAN who raped a teenager just metres from her friends after luring her to a men's toilet in the early hours of the morning was yesterday jailed for five years. Shek Chi-wai, 22, raped the screaming girl after shoving her into a cubicle and ripping down her trousers. Shek and his friends had sat at a table next to some girls having a drink at a barbecue pit near the Beach Resort Hotel, Sai Kung, and the two groups started chatting, the High Court heard. Some time after midnight Shek told the girl, then aged 17, he wanted to show her something. Prosecutor Laura Millar said it was only when they got to the toilet that the teenager realised she had been duped. But, when she tried to leave, Shek blocked the doorway and pushed her into a cubicle. He slammed down the toilet cover, forced her to sit down and undid her trousers as she struggled. Shek admitted raping the girl on October 12 last year. His lawyer Joe Kenny said the rape was not premeditated and the girl had not been injured. But Mr Justice Leong said: 'A girl who has gone through this ordeal must have suffered some trauma which will remain with her for the rest of her life. 'She was innocent enough to have allowed you to lure her to the place where the toilet was. If she had been more mature, then she might not have acceded. 'The girl was enjoying a barbecue with her friends. You pushed her into the toilet and started your sexual gratification, and afterwards you dumped her there, leaving her crying in that sorrowful state.'
