ENTHUSIASTIC support of fans proved the success of Commercial Radio 2's QK Request Station. 'I was impressed by the high level of participation of my fans at this quarter's QK Request Station. Without their support, I would not have achieved such results,' Canto-pop star, Andy Lau Tak-wah told Young Post after receiving two awards at the prize presentation ceremony of QK Request Station , organised by CR2. Ten awards were given to local singers whose songs were most requested by fans. The top 10 hits were awarded based on voting at QK Request Station by computers installed in ABC Communications outlets. Lau said the awards increased his confidence in work. 'I am very happy and honoured to win such recognition from pop music-lovers in the territory.' In an effort to encourage creative music in the field, the talented singer is writing his own songs. 'Hong Kong has very few professional Canto-pop song writers,' said the pop star. The QK Request Station was started last August, and has received tremendous response from fans. The top 10 hits are: My Heart is Not Dead, by Priscilla Chan. Don't Cry Again, by Leon Lai. Forget Him, by Shirley Kwan. Every Two Seconds, by Bonnie Chiu. On the Ship Last Night, by Andy Lau. Give You a Snowflake, by Leon Lai. Look at the Moon, by Jacky Cheung. Sneeky, by Hacken Lee. Merciless Sky, by Andy Lau. Let You be Happy, by Jacky Cheung.
