A 83-YEAR-OLD man was arrested for swindling $1,700 out of a 73-year-old woman in Tsim Sha Tsui. The woman asked the man for directions to her Kwai Shing Estate home in the China Hong Kong Ferry Terminal. The man told her there was a curfew in the estate and a permit was required to enter the area. The woman handed over $1,300 and 400 yuan to the man, who apparently folded the money and put it inside a letter before returning it to her. But when she arrived at the Tsim Sha Tsui bus terminal, she found the money had been missing. The man was later arrested at the ferry terminal.
