CHENG Lie Navigation Co (CNC Line) of Taiwan will start phasing in four new container ships this month to expand its services from Japan to Taiwan, Hong Kong and Bangkok.
The carrier now operates two weekly services on the route.
Its A service covers the ports of Yokohama, Tokyo, Nagoya, Osaka, Kobe, Keelung, Kaohsiung, Hong Kong and Bangkok.
The B service calls at Moji, Tokuyama, Iwakuni, Keelung, Kaohsiung, Hong Kong, Jakarta and Surabaya.
The company intends to upgrade the A service to a twice-weekly sailing in stages. All four container ships are to be completed and commissioned by the end of August.
By that time, the A service will have been completely upgraded to a twice-weekly service.
