FRANKWELL have turned to Ukrainian players in their bid to regain the Super Kung Sheung Cup which they conceded to Energy last year.
Frankwell were a huge success when they won the championship in 1993 with the Moscow Select, the first Soviet team ever to play in the territory.
But instead of bringing back the Russians last year, Frankwell recruited a Latvian outfit to fly their colours and were a big flop when they only managed to take third place behind Energy and Winling.
Team manager Fung Shiu-wai, however, is confident the Ukrainians can put the challenge trophy back into the Frankwell cupboard.
'New faces add spice to the tournament and we want to keep up our tradition of giving the fans something new,' said Fung.
'I must admit that the Latvians were a let-down but I'm sure we will give a much better account of ourselves this year as I was very impressed by the Ukrainians in the Ramadan Cup in Dubai.
