Stadium meeting proposed

HONG KONG Stadium's Board of Governors has proposed another meeting to allow residents to air their views after the last attempted discussion ended in a walkout.

But residents remain wary of the board's sincerity, and are undecided about whether to attend the meeting on June 20.

It has been proposed to collect opinions from residents, nearby hospitals and schools and Wan Chai District Board members.

The chairman of the Urban Council Chairman and Stadium Board of Governors, Dr Ronald Leung Ding-Bong, said he hoped the invitations would defuse any ill-feeling from last month's attempt to meet.
