HK hotel voted Asia's best
REGULAR business travellers and readers of business finance publication Asiamoney have voted Hong Kong's Island Shangri-La 'Best Hotel In Asia' in the magazine's 1995 Business Travel Poll.
Giovanni Angelini, the hotel's general manager, said he was delighted to receive the award since it recognised and reflected the company's continued commitment to deliver the highest standards to clients.
'I would like to thank those executives who voted for us and our personnel who have contributed magnificently,' he said.
The Shangri-La group dominated the Asiamoney business travel survey awards.
The Portman Shangri-La in Shanghai was voted best hotel in China by the magazine's readers.
In Malaysia, the Shangri-La, Kuala Lumpur was voted Malaysia's best hotel.
The results were the same in Singapore and the Philippines.
The Manila Shangri-La won the best hotel in the Philippines, while Singapore's Shangri-La came out top.
