RESIDENTS of Hay Tak Estate have been enrolled in an 'Accredited Green Family Scheme' by Friends of the Earth (FoE).

      Under an environmental community outreach programme, FoE aims to motivate a target population of about 23,000 people within a time frame of 18 months to adopt eco-friendly attitudes and behaviour.

  FoE director Mei Ng, said last year's pilot programme - 'Use Less Plastic Bags' at the estate was very successful.

  'With the Accredited Green Family Scheme we want to encourage family participation in a variety of green activities and workshops.

  'The families which demonstrate adequate knowledge and actively participate in the year-long programme will be accredited with the Model Green Family honour,' Mrs Ng added.



Families show love for nature
