A TEENAGER who accused his schoolfriend of molesting his girlfriend and then kicked him so hard that he fell into a coma was sent to a training centre yesterday Victim Wong Lam suffered from amnesia for months after the attack, and has only recently regained his memory.
The 17-year-old's doctor said Lam's memory could later deteriorate so badly that he would no longer be able to remember what he had done the previous hour.
Sarid Sae Chua, 16, pleaded guilty to wounding.
On November 18 last year, Lam was walking towards his Tuen Mun home when Sarid confronted him and accused Lam of molesting his girlfriend.
Sarid then kicked Lam in the head. The blow sent Lam crashing to the ground, blood spurting from his nose and mouth.
Deputy Judge Andree-Wiltens considered the attacker's motives and the consequences of his actions before passing sentence in the District Court.
