A SACKED construction worker who stabbed his boss to death with a knife eight months after he was fired was yesterday sentenced to life imprisonment for murder.
His son, who kicked the victim in the head and stomach, was jailed for five years after he was found guilty of manslaughter.
Tsoi Shun-tai, 57, attacked sub-contractor Ngan Siu-ming, 40, after a heated row, the High Court heard.
Ngan had sacked Tsoi because, he said, his work was not good enough.
Prosecutor John Necholas said the attack was sparked off when Ngan overheard his former employee refer to him on August 26 last year, as a 'stupid man'.
Tempers flared during a heated argument over the telephone and the pair arranged to meet outside Ngan's flat in North Point.
But the court heard the sacked construction worker armed himself with a fruit knife and stabbed his former boss five times in a frenzied attack.
