Still one channel short
AFTER two years of Wharf Cable broadcasting, one of the things which most disappoints me is the absence of a 24-hour weather channel.
Such a weather channel is seen as a necessary part of operations by cable companies all over the world.
It is simple and straightforward to organise, compared with Wharf's existing cable channels.
Now that the rainy season, and with it typhoons in the region, are upon us, it is especially important.
Also, many more Hong Kong people travel round the region than used to and yet we still lack any way of getting up-to-date information when we need it.
One of the main differences between STAR TV and Wharf Cable is that the latter can provide more localised information. I hope Wharf Cable will consider my idea.
