A HUNCH-BACKED dwarf had sex with an 11-year-old girl and promised to marry her, the District Court heard yesterday.
Defence lawyer Alan So said Li Siu-wong, 44, had provided the girl with regular meals, lent her money and paid to have her hair shampooed.
The lawyer described Li as a 'kind-hearted man' who wanted to marry his young lover when she turned 19.
'He talked of honeymooning in France,' Mr So said.
The girl told the court she decided to go back to her two boyfriends 'to have true love'. She only stayed with the hunchback because she was a runaway with nowhere else to go, she said.
Li pleaded not guilty to unlawful sex with a girl under 13.
The girl was said to have been drugged on LSD the first time she met Li at a barbecue in June 1991. She was with friends and only vaguely remembered meeting him.
