CHEUNG Kong (Holdings) is to release 128 flats in Block 14 of Kingswood Villas on Sunday after an enthusiastic response to the seventh development at the villas last weekend. Registration will start on Thursday and end on Friday. The selling price is pitched at an average of about $2,164 per square foot, which is 2.3 per cent higher than the $2,115 set for the sale of 1,000 units last weekend. Buyers who choose in Sunday's sale to pay in a lump sum, which requires them to complete the purchase of the unfinished units within one month, will be given a six per cent discount, to give an average selling price of $2,034 a square foot. A Cheung Kong spokesman said the actual acquisition cost payable by buyers for the upcoming units would be nearly the same as the earlier offering. Estate agents also said the price difference was minimal compared with two earlier batches of offerings. 'But in view of the better location of Block 14, the upcoming offer is more attractive,' said Mike Chan, sales manager of Midland Realty's Tuen Mun branch. Meanwhile, Hong Kong Housing Society has sold 60 units of its Prosperity Court in Lai Chi Court after the first day of sale. The selling price was pitched at $3,400 to $3,600 per square foot.
