South China swoop in on Lee

EASTERN skipper Lee Kin-wo yesterday signed a two-year deal with arch-rivals South China after agreeing to reduced terms.

The long-haired right winger, a two-time Hong Kong Footballer of the Year and current Hong Kong captain, signed for the Caroliners after agreeing to lower his initial $60,000-a-month demands around by 15 per cent.

Hong Kong's end-of-season transfer merry-go-round is in full swing with the following moves.

Golden: Signed Lo Kai-wah (Eastern), Otis Roberts (Kui Tan) and Yeung Kin-keung (Instant-Dict on loan). Retained Lee Bullen, Alen Bajkusa, Mike Duxbury and Marlon Van Sander.

Frankwell: Signed Tim Bredbury (Sing Tao) and Cheung Sai-ho (South China on loan). Retained Oleg Aleksetenko, Richard Crossley, John Maher and Eric Grigjans. Released Mark Farrington and Darren Tilley.

Happy Valley: Released all seven of their Russian players. Retained Neil Armour. No new signings.
