I REFER to the letter headlined, 'Menacing', which appeared in these columns on June 12 and was obviously racist. The correspondent is wrong to point the finger at the Filipinos regarding the rubbish left on a Sunday evening.

He should give them a chance. They are human beings like him and me; show them a bit more respect and take a look at yourself before degrading Filipinos. All the letters I read are against the Filipinos.

Where else can they meet on a Sunday? The police and Urban Council have let them meet here for years. They never cause a nuisance to others and are very happy and courteous.
