A BROKEN-HEARTED young mother and her five-year-old daughter plunged 20 floors to their deaths in a suicide-homicide in Kwai Chung.

Siu Miu-fong, 25, and Yuen Wing-shum were found yesterday morning on a first-floor platform by Siu's mother.

Relatives said Siu had talked of suicide in the wake of two failed love affairs, including one with the girl's father who she split with in 1992. Siu lived with her parents and three brothers at the Shing Hing House in Kwai Chung.

At about 6.15 am, Siu's mother went looking for the two in the home and discovered a stool next at the corridor. After seeing two people on the first floor platform, she called police.
