Tons of fun with a string of summer activities for the family
MAKE sure you get your tickets early for the Summer Fun Festival, an entertaining series of indoor and outdoor holiday programmes for the family.
The festival opens with a carnival at the Kowloon Park piazza on July 8 (Saturday, 3 pm afternoon), which continues till August 20. It features magic, acrobatic and clown shows, Chinese folk songs and dances, and games stalls.
Other outdoor attractions of the festival include Family Day Camps at the Lei Yue Mun Park Village and Sai Kung outdoor recreation camp; a disco night on a harbour cruise; a launch trip to Grass Island; a handicraft and barbecue evening in Yuen Long; an educational tour of a gardening farm in Sai Kung, and guided tours of a bakery and a health-drink factory.
In addition, there will be three concerts, a children's party at the Queen Elizabeth Stadium and mime shows.
Tickets from Urbtix outlets range from $30 to $150 (half-price for full-time students, senior citizens and the disabled).
