FINANCIAL news and data giant Reuter has launched a Chinese Business Briefing service that offers subscribers a choice of receiving their information in English or Chinese.
Michael Peace, regional marketing manager for Reuter East Asia, said: 'The Briefing is comprised of more than one million articles which have been sourced from a huge range of international media and cover the past five years.
'As well as papers and magazines, the sources included a global selection from trade and professional journals, databases and news wires, including our own.' Among the thousands of contributors were the South China Morning Post, Sing Tao, Hong Kong Economic Times, Ming Pao and the semi-official China News Agency.
Other key contributors included a large database covering 300 mainland China sources and Reuters' own Chinese news bureaus.
'It is the first database of its kind which delivers news in two languages,' Mr Peace said.
'Our customers now have a choice when they wish to access the service for reading and research.' The standard subscription fee has been set at $5,000 a month. This includes all communication charges and up to 20 hours of use.
