Jorge Galvis Ruiz, 34, was stopped after Customs mounted a special surveillance operation at Kai Tak airport on July 19 last year.
Prosecutor Derek Pang said Galvis Ruiz was met off his flight from London by two women, one of whom took his second suitcase.
He was arrested in a taxi outside after officers tailed him through the airport, the jury heard.
The cocaine was allegedly found in slabs hidden in two concealed compartments in his case.
