The union's executive committee last night finalised part of the line-up, but remained undecided on whether chairman Cheng Yiu-tong will contest one of the two Legco seats allocated for labour unions.

It said it would support core members Tam Yiu-chung and Chan Yuen-han in the geographical constituencies of Kowloon Southeast, covering Kwun Tong, and Kowloon Northeast, covering Wong Tai Sin.

Among the contestants in the new functional constituency polls is Leung Fu-wah, an employees' representative on the Labour Advisory Board, who will stand in the manufacturing constituency.

Other candidates are Poon To-chuen in the primary production, power and construction constituency; Chan Wing-chan in the hotels and catering seat; Cheuk Siu-yee in the transport and communication seat. Union member Wong Kwok-hing will stand in the wholesale and retail constituency and Chan Kwok-keung in the textile and garments constituency.
