Hospice Care is 'pro life'. Where the patient cannot be cured, the hospice team aims to do everything it can to make his or her last years, months, or days, as peaceful, comfortable and free from pain as possible.
Hospice care aims, in that sense, to increase the quality of the remaining days of life.
We deal with pain and its related problems - whether they be physical, mental, spiritual or psychological.
In hospice care we neither prolong life nor hasten death.
